I started with the Nude by Nature Flawless Liquid Foundation in N2 Classic Beige. Not going to lie – first impressions – no bueno. I applied 2 pumps with a buffing brush and it just looked streaky and sat on my skin. It didn’t blend very well and emphasised texture on my skin I didn’t know I had. However, I did a sneaky second impression with 1 pump and a sponge and it looked a lot…

Fortunately, there is a growing number of brands that are cruelty free, and are vegan or offer vegan options for body wash and moisturiser.

Below I have listed information about 5 different brands. You probably already know Lush and The Body Shop, however, you may not know the other brands listed.

1. Lush

They are against animal testing and only buy raw materials from companies that are not involved in the use of, or commission the use of, animals for testing.

We need to make a change in the world to make animal testing end. Many makeup companies test on animals to make sure their products are the best. There are many alternatives to this, it is not necessary for them to test on animals. On “Peta” they stated several alternatives to animal testing that are cheaper than animal testing itself. “These alternatives to animal testing include sophisticated tests using human cells and tissues (also known as in vitro methods), advanced computer-modeling techniques (often referred to as in silico models), and studies with human volunteers. These and other non-animal methods are not hindered by species differences that make applying animal test results to humans difficult or impossible, and they usually take less time and money to complete.” https://www.peta.org/issues/animals-used-for-experimentation/alternatives-animal-testing/

These days, a lot of women put makeup on their faces almost everyday. There are so many  stereotypes about makeup that women may feel more confident when they are wearing makeup or it is a form of art that people should embrace. As we can see on the screens of TV, laptop and smartphone, there are a lot of celebrity, singers and actress that wears makeup everyday. Some of them are feeling insecure if they are not wearing any makeups. Every time i see Kylie Jenner’s Instagram, she always using makeups which definitely tells everyone that she loves makeup. She also has a cosmetic line named “Kylie Cosmetics” that sells a lot of high quality cosmetics such as lip kits, face highlighter , eyeliner, eyeshadow, lip liners, and many more. But now there also many fake Kylie makeup products lying around the shelves of stores, and those things may…

Our Blog

Greetings! Our names are Sahana and Ania and we are creating this blog to spread awareness of how many companies test their products on animals. We want to reduce the amount of companies that don’t use a cruelty-free rule. Many animals are tested on and then brutally killed after being experimented on.

These are a few companies that pay for tests on animals in China; Estée Lauder, Avon, Clinique, Maybelline, Mary Kay, Nars, OPI, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, boscia, Victoria's Secret, Clarins, Glam Glow, Origins, Make Up Forever, benefit, Elizabeth Arden.
