Animal testing, yay or nay?

Animal testing is a big NO! Although it may benefit cosmetic and beauty companies and make their testing process easier, there are alternatives to this!

amandan7490's avatarAnimal testing yay or nay?

Is it OK to test on animals for cosmetic (makeup) reasons, what about for medical (vaccines) reasons?

Please let me know what you think of animal testing, in general, for cosmetic reasons or medical reasons. Do you think that it is fair to the animals? Should we do something different? Keep it the same?

We need to make a change in the world to make animal testing end. Many makeup companies test on animals to make sure their products are the best. There are many alternatives to this, it is not necessary for them to test on animals. On “Peta” they stated several alternatives to animal testing that are cheaper than animal testing itself. “These alternatives to animal testing include sophisticated tests using human cells and tissues (also known as in vitro methods), advanced computer-modeling techniques (often referred to as in silico models), and studies with human volunteers. These and other non-animal methods are not hindered by species differences that make applying animal test results to humans difficult or impossible, and they usually take less time and money to complete.” https://www.peta.org/issues/animals-used-for-experimentation/alternatives-animal-testing/

STOP ANIMAL TESTING ; IS IT WORTH TAKING ?

This just shows the brutality and cruelty that these innocent animals have to go through.

” An animal test is any scientific experiment or test in which a live animal is forced undergo somenthing that is likely to cause them pain, suffering, distress or lasting harm “.

Life in the laboratory is a world away from the natural environment. Often housed in isolation,in bare, wire cages without sufficient space or environmental enrichment, rabbits are prone to loneliness and boredom. Their senses are also overloaded with constant, bright artificial lighting from which there is no escape, and incessant noise such as the clanging of metal cages. These can all cause these sensitive animals to become stressed, which in turn can weaken their immune system, making them prone to illness. They can also suffer sore and damaged feet from standing in metal caging, and even sel-multilate to relieve their anxiety. As estimated, 26 million animals are used every year in the united states for…
